The History of Hurst Lending & Insurance and Investment Property HELOC
Hurst Lending was founded in 2006 as Moneysafe, a full-service mortgage lending company. After adding several specialty lending divisions and an insurance brokerage, the company changed its name in 2014 to Hurst Lending & Insurance to better communicate its full range of services. Investment Property HELOC is a part of the Hurst Lending & Insurance family, dedicated to serving our clients with loan products that help make building an investment portfolio an achievable dream. Expanding on that vision, Investment Property HELOC and Hurst now also offer home and auto insurance, as well as a realtor referral service to help make the process of buying, owning and selling a home as safe and straightforward as it can be.
We have helped hundreds build or buy the home of their dreams, and we are proud that 70% of our business comes from repeat or referred customers.
Mortgage Lending and Niche Loans
Our special expertise is in meeting unique lending needs, such as those faced by residential real estate investors. We are real estate investors ourselves, and we started Investment Property HELOC to help others overcome the same barriers we ran into early in our investing careers. We wanted to build our portfolio as quickly as possible, avoid tying up unnecessary capital, and protect ourselves from liability. We believe that our solutions are the most cost-effective way to build a real estate portfolio.
Our parent company, Hurst Lending, offers a wide range of niche loan programs to help home buyers overcome specific challenges. If there is a situation that is creating a barrier to getting a loan, such as details about the property, a pending divorce, expat status, or other logistical challenges, we can usually find a solution. We do this by developing relationships with investors who have specific interests, and in some cases by lending our own funds.
Property Insurance
In 2013, Hurst added an insurance brokerage business, offering home, life, business, and auto insurance from major providers. An easy way for an investor to save money is to optimize their insurance coverage. We can provide a policy to cover your primary residence, and extend the liability portion of the policy to cover your rental properties. This can save literally thousands of dollars each year, depending on the number of rentals covered – and you still end up with the same amount of coverage on each rental, without double paying.
